Vjekoslav Bratić, Institute of Public Finance, Croatia

Director of the Institute of Public Finance and professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb. His research interests are in the field of public sector economics, local finances, budget and budgetary process, tax expenditures and financing religious communities. He holds PhD from the University of Zagreb Faculty of Political Science (2007) and from the University of Split Faculty of Economics (2010).


Mihaela Bronić, Institute of Public Finance, Croatia

Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Public Finance and Editor-in-Chief of the journal Public Sector Economics. She holds a PhD from the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb, and has completed advanced training at the University of Cambridge. Her research focuses on local government finance, budget transparency, citizen participation in budgeting, and tax systems.


Dubravko MihaljekCo-editor of Public Sector Economics, and Croatian National Bank, Croatia

Formerly Senior Adviser and Head of Macroeconomic Analysis in the Monetary and Economic Department of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), where he contributed to the BIS analysis of the global economy and acted as Secretary to the Group of Governors from Small Open Economies. He is a co-editor of the journal Public Sector Economics at the Institute of Public Finance, an external associate in Governor`s office of the Croatian National Bank, and an independent researcher.


Katarina OttCo-editor of Public Sector Economics, Croatia

Emerita, Institute of Public Finance; Trustee, the Hanžeković Trust. Previously, professor at the Faculty of Mathematics and the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb. Her research focuses on fiscal and budget accountability, transparency and participation, public sector reforms, local finances, sustainable development goals and unofficial economy.
